Chicken Cordon Bleu Pizza

My husband LOVES making pizza – he grills it in the summer, bakes it in the winter, and comes up with a new flavor combo each time. In this monthly “guest post,” I’m going to sit back, relax, and maybe take the occasional photo while Jeff makes me a pizza and tells you about it. Here he is:

As you may know, many of my previous posts have talked about favorite ingredients, movies, or memories. Today, I want to talk about time. Lori and I don’t always have a lot of it. Whether it is because Lori is diligently working on the blog through the evening hours or I am at graduate school classes, we don’t always have a ton of time to spend making dinner. Sometimes you just want something quick to make, where you have most of the ingredients lying around, which will be tasty.

I am sure this concept of limited time can only be worse as you add children. Some of our friends are at this stage – taking care of a newborn while tackling a full-fledged career. That is why I decided to do this pizza post for them. Using Recipe Starters cooking sauces from Progresso, families everywhere can prepared a home cooked meal every night of the week in 30 minutes or less! Most of the sauces are designed to just add your favorite protein and a few pantry or fridge items to pull together a delicious dish your family will love.

I took a look at what Lori and I usually have lying around in the refrigerator – bear with me that this is using the fridge / pantry of a food blogger. The ingredients that stood out were rotisserie chicken, banana peppers, leftover caramelized onions, gruyere cheese and ham lunchmeat. Combined with the deliciously savory Progresso Recipe Starters Creamy Roasted Garlic Sauce, my brain went directly to Chicken Cordon Bleu which I know is an awesome dish and something that I always have wanted to incorporate into a pizza. Hope you enjoy.
