My husband LOVES making pizza – he grills it in the summer, bakes it in the winter, and comes up with a new flavor combo each time. In this monthly “guest post,” I’m going to sit back, relax, and maybe take the occasional photo while Jeff makes me a pizza and tells you about it. Here he is:
The other day, I was thinking about some of the best things that come out of Michigan during the summer and autumn seasons. I thought of sweet corn, grown by farmers in Northern Michigan, and a staple of family dinner tables. I thought of going to Detroit’s Eastern Market for delicious sausage from the massive butcher shop across Gratiot Avenue. And, last but not least, the cherries grown near Traverse City that have inspired an entire festival in their honor. This pizza truly is an ode to all of these yummy things that Michiganders get to experience this time of year. I hope you find it tasty too!
