You will love these Brie Cheese Recipes
Baked Brie is the ultimate payoff for the smallest amount of work possible. In truth, you could simple pop a completely plain round of brie into the oven for a few minutes, pair it with a sleeve of crackers, and call it a party (and please invite me if you do).
But the great thing about brie is that even though it has that funky cheese flavor that so many of us love, it’s also a great cheese to pair with other flavors and textures.
The toppings are where you can get creative with this dish and add crunch, sweetness, spice, or a combination of all three.
The list of recipes I’ve compiled below are some of my favorites from around the internet. All involve a minimal amount of work for a huge flavor payoff.
I’m also including my own recipe for baked brie topped with basil pesto and roasted garlic below.
A Baked Brie Appetizer is perfect for entertaining!
Most baked brie recipes (my own included) have a sweet element like jam, fruit like roasted grapes, or honey. This is because sweet elements really do pair quite nicely with creamy, buttery brie cheese.
However, I think that brie can just as easily go completely savory. This Savory Baked Brie recipe with basil pesto and roasted garlic cloves demonstrates that baked brie doesn’t HAVE to be sweet to be delicious.
The bright herby notes from the pesto pair beautifully with the earthiness of the cheese.
I love brie so much because it’s so rich and smooth, and melts like a dream. This savory baked brie has been a hit at every party I’ve served it at.
What does brie taste like?
If you’ve never tried brie cheese, you really should! Tasting it yourself is the best way to know whether you like it. If you want to sample without commitment, most upscale grocery stores with a cheese counter will let you try a piece for free.
Brie is very soft at room temperature, and it is encased in a white, edible rind. Many people think that the flavor and aroma of brie is reminiscent of fresh mushrooms. I certainly agree that it has an earthy, grassy taste. There’s just nothing else like it!

I have never become of fan of brie because every time I’ve had it, it has tasted like ammonia. Not sure why that is. One day I guess I’ll have to try it again, and make one of your baked brie recipes. I appreciate that you are doing a savory one here, since I’m trying to stay away from sugar. I also have to say that your charcuterie board looks absolutely delicious.
