Shake up pizza night with this weeknight-easy Buffalo Shrimp Pizza recipe! Full of flavors the whole family will love, like popcorn shrimp tossed with buffalo sauce, celery, tomatoes, two kinds of cheese and ranch dressing.
Preheat oven and bake shrimp according to package instructions. When shrimp is cooked; remove from oven and set aside.
Place pizza stone in oven and increase oven temperature to 400 degrees if needed.
Toss and stretch pizza dough into a 14-inch circle. Once oven is preheated, carefully remove pizza stone from oven and spray with cooking spray. Carefully place dough on stone. Transfer to oven and bake 6 minutes.
Remove crust from oven and spread evenly with pizza sauce. Top with mozzarella cheese and onion. Return pizza to oven and bake 6 minutes or until cheese is melted.
Meanwhile, place shrimp and buffalo sauce in medium bowl and toss until well combined.
Remove pizza from the oven; top with shrimp. Return pizza to oven for 2 minutes or until shrimp is warmed through.
Top pizza with celery, tomatoes and blue cheese. Cut and serve immediately with ranch dressing, if desired.
Notes
It’s important to preheat the pizza stone in the oven before putting the crust on it, so that the crust can immediately start crisping up as soon as it hits the hot stone.
If using store-bought or otherwise refrigerated dough, let it come to room temperature for 20 to 30 minutes before stretching it to make it easier to work with.
Experiment with different cheeses like feta or goat cheese for a different flavor profile.
