Fruit and Cheese Kabobs with Croissant Croutons

These fresh Fruit and Cheese Kabobs with Croissant Croutons are a nutritious snack that both kids and adults will love. This colorful combination of sweet fruit, savory cheese and flaky croutons comes together in a snap.

Ingredients

  • 2 large or 4 small croissants cut into 1-1/2-inch cubes (16 cubes)
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • Flaky sea salt and coarsely ground black pepper
  • 16 blackberries
  • 16 green grapes
  • 16 small strawberries
  • 12 ounces white Cheddar cheese cut into 1-1/2-inch cubes (16 cubes)
  • Honey for drizzling

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Place croissant cubes and oil in large bowl and gently toss until well combined. Spread cubes onto large rimmed baking pan and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Transfer to oven and bake 15 to 18 minutes or until croissant cubes are dark golden brown and crisp, stirring and turning 2 to 3 times during baking. Transfer pan to wire rack and allow croutons to cool completely before making skewers.
  • Thread fruit, cheese and croutons onto skewers. Drizzle with honey and serve immediately.
