The Easiest Scary Halloween Pizza Recipe You’ve Ever Made

When Halloween rolls around, you know we love a festive seasonal treat. We have lots of them here on the site (see the list above the recipe card for more fun options), but some years we have more time than others for culinary creations when we’re busy building Halloween costumes and planning our trick-or-treating route.

These easy Halloween Bagel Pizzas are quick to throw together, yet perfectly fit the spooky Halloween theme! If you want to hit the “easy” button on pizza night, rally the troops to help build your little spiders and fire up the oven or air fryer. You’ll have an excellent Halloween snack (or meal) to fill some bellies before all that candy hits.

Why You’ll Love This Recipe For Mini Halloween Pizzas

  • Perfect for Parties. Whether you’re hosting a Halloween gathering or attending one, these make for a memorable and photo-worthy snack.
  • Beginner-Friendly. Even if you’re a little unsure of your knife skills, as long as you have a sharp knife, you can whip up these spider pizzas without any hassle. No fussing with yeast or pizza dough, or trying to make ghost shapes out of cheese that doesn’t want to cooperate.
  • Kid-Friendly. We’ve discovered unexpectedly that many kids actually love olives! But even if they don’t, they can have fun in the kitchen assembling the spider toppings for the adult pizzas, while enjoying some plain pizzas themselves.
  • Quick and Convenient. We’re using a grocery store shortcut by starting with frozen mini pizza bagels, so these are a fantastic last-minute option for busy Halloween evenings.

Spider Pizza Ingredients

A full recipe card, including exact ingredient amounts, appears at the bottom of this post.

  • mini pizza bagels – we used a box of Annie’s Pepperoni Mini Pizza Bagels, but any brand will work for these Halloween mini pizzas (Bagel Bites is another popular brand). The recipe below makes nine mini pizzas, but you can double or triple it if you are making more boxes. You could also make homemade pizza bagels if you wish.
  • pitted black olives – one 6-ounce can of medium black olives will be more than enough.

Halloween Spider Pizza Home Chef Tips

  • The MEDIUM size of canned pitted black olives works best. Small can be too small to cut, and large can be too large to fit on the bagels.
  • Spice it up by adding a pinch of crushed red pepper flakes to the tops of the pizzas before baking.
  • We used pepperoni pizza bagels for the most flavor, but plain cheese pizza bagels would also work just fine.
  • If you’re not into olives, you can creatively cut mini sweet peppers into spiders and use those instead.
  • Make this in a larger format with a full size frozen pizza. You can buy one with your favorite pizza toppings (mushrooms, bell peppers, pepperoni slices, whatever) and then add the olive spiders around the other toppings.
